The 4-star hotels in Pattaya are the best value for money in Thailand, as there have been at least a few brand-new hotels in the last few years.
If you are on a family vacation, there are better places to stay than Pattaya, but at least choose more suitable areas like Beach Road, North Pattaya, or Jomtien Beach.
For nightlife, stay near Walking Street or the LK Metro area.
